The Westfield JV Shamrocks were able to continue their winning ways by defeating the visiting Noblesville Millers by a score of 35-0. Great play in all 3 phases of the game led to this win by the Shamrocks. Offensively the Rocks were led by standout play from the entire offensive line and tight ends. Running behind that great blocking was Cole Chellevold who was able to bust several large runs. Consistent plays were made by receivers Tyson Gilbert and Spencer Sullivan. The play of the game came early when QB Aiden Grabowski hit Kaleb Darts for a big gain to put the Rocks in scoring position. Defensively, the whole DL group gave outstanding play as they held the Millers strong rushing attack in check all morning. Olu Fapetu gave consistent play from his linebacker position all game long. The play of the game came when Wade Washo was able to pick off the Millers QB and give the ball back to the Rock offense. On special teams the player of the game was kicker Diego Herrera as he converted all 5 of his extra points. Abe O’Neil was consistent with his long and short snaps throughout the game. The kickoff team provided multiple explosive plays throughout the morning that put the Rocks in advantageous field position. This win moves the JV Shamrocks to 2-1 on the year and 2-0 in conference play. They will return to action when they travel to HSE to face the Royals for a 10 AM kickoff on Saturday, September 21st.
