Varsity: Carsyn Comer, Audrey Bassett and Paige Rudolph all led the Rocks in kills with 7 each. Carsyn also had 4 Service Aces and 6 Blocks. Kendyl Strack had a total of 14 Digs. JV: Your JV girls volleyball team extended their winning streak to begin the season to 9 matches with a 2-0 (25-10 & 25-10) victory over Guerin Catholic on Tuesday night. The victory did come with a price as captain and setter Kenna Robinson was injured as an opposing player undercut her at the net and she was unable to return. She exited with 12 assists and 3 digs. She was replaced at setter by 2 position players, Maddalie Belleville and Kailey Sweet who finished off the match in inspiring fashion with an amazing 14 assists and 0 errors. Coach Weddige was beyond proud of all the players contributions and how they pulled together to rally to the victory after losing their captain. Ella Miles continued her effective serving and led the team with 3 aces and 9 points won from the service line. Overall the team passed a season high 2.4/3.0 to help generate offense with the new setters and Kate Seewald recorded a match high 15 digs with just one error. The offense was led by Jordyn Blair and AC Sylvia who both hit above .500 and each had a plus/minus rating of +5 for the match. The Rocks will look to extend their winning streak on Thursday as they battle conference for Noblesville in a home match.
