The boys cross country team finished 3rd at the Harrison Invitational, despite missing their number one runner from last week. All 9 varsity competitors ran new career best times. Owen Mohler led the way with an 18th place finish in 16:10. Ty Conner joined him in the top 25 with a time of 16:23. Sophomores Bryce Pittman and Carson Ackley both joined the sub 17:00 club for the first time, with times of 16:28 and 16:30 respectively. Owen Dilley rounded out the scorers at 16:40. Luke Moulder also broke 17:00 for the first time in his career. Drew Neely, Maxim Poirier, and Graham Hoffman rounded out the lineup. In the JV race, nearly every single competitor ran a new career best or a new season best en route to a runner-up finish as a team. The squad was led by Nathan McKeever's individual runner-up finish with a huge new PR of 17:00. Chase Niccum continued his hot streak with another big PR and first career sub 18:00 performance. JP Mikels, Taye Gutwein, and Donovan Ledford rounded out the scorers. Other fantastic races were run by John Obusek, Luke Stevens, Conner Phillips, Soren Baker, Alex Cassidy, Jaeden Brown, Corbin Hasler, Everitt Smith, Graham Gibbs, George Cummings, Matthew Martinez, Grant Zartman, Jackson Rivard, Krithik Bolla, and Maddux Kettlebar. The Shamrocks are back in action at the Wildcat/Jackson Classic Invitational at Indiana Wesleyan University on Saturday, September 14.
