This weekend, the freshmen Rocks got the rare opportunity to set the tone against the Greyhounds, and they answered the call with a resounding 32-7 blowout win. The Rocks led the entire game, and asserted their will on Carmel all day long. The defense led the charge, holding Carmel’s offense to 19 total yards for the game, with 13 tackles for loss. Offensive highlights included an impressive diving TD grab by Henry Everts, as well as a thunderous Elliott Clevenger TD run in which he broke three tackles and reached the ball out to break the plane of the goal line. The game was capped off when Cord Kremer intercepted a pass and took it to the house during the fifth quarter. Following their domination of Carmel, the freshmen squad will look to stay undefeated when they host Zionsville next Saturday.
