On September 24, the Shamrocks finished 7th at the HCC Championships. Jack Loiselle led the way for Westfield, just off his PR, with his 26th place finish. Sam Hinds ran a massive PR, finishing just a couple of seconds behind Loiselle, and earning a top 30 finish. Drew Lovelace (running a PR as well), Owen Flynn, and William Cummings rounded out the top 5. Other PRs in the varsity race were earned by Owen Mohler (breaking 17:00 for the first time), Ike O’Neill, and Will Snedeker. In the JV race, nearly the entire team ran new PRs. The squad was led by the freshman phenom Taye Gutwein, who ran a massive new PR, shattering the 18:00 barrier for the time and running a fantastic time of 17:23. Owen Ferreri ran a season best by almost 30 seconds, and Caub Douthit accomplished the same feat. Charlie Naas earned a new PR, as did Carson Goodman. Other PRs were run by the following: Luke Sullivan, Porter Temples, Paul Williams, Corwyn Barrows, Ty Conner, John Degan, Grant McMath, Michael Bishop, Noah Armitage, Jace Lee, Cole Herring, Graham Hoffman, Braeden Dewes, Nick Tomaszewski, Jeremy Smits, Derek Moskowitz, Soren Baker, Parker Smoot, Eli LaRosa, Frank Phillips, Drake Danubio, Connor Seagrave, George Cummings, Matthew Martinez, Landon King, Pierce Glodowski, Connor Kubik, Peter Harrington, Drew Taylor, Brad Bishop, Ty Ellis, Mahlon Kalaba, Michael Quirke, and Eli Lane.
