The Shamrocks kicked off the competition season with a 2nd place finish at the Plainfield Relays. In the varsity race, teams of two both ran 3x1 mile. The pair of Owen Mohler and Will Snedeker finished 2nd overall, averaging faster than 5:00 miles between the two. Snedeker's performance is the second fastest in team history at this event. Ty Conner and Caleb Haney earned a top 5 finish, while Carson Ackley and Luke Moulder were the final scoring pair with a 16th place finish. Snedeker, Ackley, Conner, Mohler, and Haney all ran faster total times than anyone on the team did last season. Owen Dilley and Drew Neely ran great races as well. In the JV race, the Shamrocks unofficially got a victory. They were led by Maxim Poirier and Nathan McKeever's photo finish, with Poirier just edging out McKeever for the victory in the 3200 meter race. Graham Hoffman, Donovan Ledford, and Tyler O'Rourke rounded out the top 5 for the team. Other great performances were turned in by Chase Niccum, Malakai Peaden Kuhn, Jace Lee, Brayden Cring, Alex Cassidy, Graham Gibbs, and Maddux Kettlebar. The Shamrocks are back in action at the Hamilton County Championships at White River Elementary in Noblesville.
