The varsity volleyball team defeated Avon in an exhilarating five-set match on Thursday night: 22-25, 27-25, 25-15, 16-25, 17-15. The offense was led by senior outside hitters Lucy Muntel and Emma Dodson with 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Dani Schade, Stella Terpening, and Chloe Sutake each added 7 kills. Seniors Mallory Weber and Kaylee Sutcliffe led the defense with 27 and 18 digs, respectively. Terpening also added 7 blocks on the night, while Schade and Sutake each added 4. Lilly Stanton had a well-rounded game, finishing with 24 assists and 15 digs. Izzy Jackson ended the match with 22 assists. The Rocks are looking to finish out an undefeated week as they host Plainfield on Saturday.
