JV White Baseball Wins Hamilton County Tournament

The Westfield Shamrocks JVW are your 2024 Hamilton County Tournament Champions! It started with a win against Fishers 12-4 in game 1. Logan Robe started on the mound and was dominant. He pitched 3 innings, allowed 1 run on 2 hits and 8 strikeouts. Aiden Trevino came in relief and allowed 3 runs on 5 hits and 2 strikeouts. The bats got hot for Shamrocks in the 6th inning when they put up 8 runs. Kasen Jessup was 3 for 5 and led the team in hits. Ryker Brenneman had 2 hits with a bases load rocket off the left center wall grabbing 3 RBIs. Maddox Novotney, Landon Campbell, Evan Govert, Brady Bafia, and Cam Nelson each had 1 hit. The Shamrocks advanced to the championship game versus Hamilton South Eastern. The Rocks defeated HSE in a close game 4-2. HSE defeated The Rocks in the regular season so the Shamrocks were ready to face them in the Championship. Evan Govert threw lights out for the Rocks. He went 5.2 innings, allowed 2 runs on 3 hits and 2 strikeouts. Garret Tucker pitched 1.1 inning in relief. Garret was able to shut down HSE and allowed 0 runs on 0 hits and 2 strikeouts. Novotney, Jessup, Logan Sumpter, and Coltyn Price each had 1 hit. The Shamrocks finished the game and became the 2024 Hamilton County Champions defending their title from 2022. The tournament in 23’ was cancelled. The Shamrocks ended their season with a record of 18-5. Big shout out to Coach Espinosa, Coach Davis, and Coach Wessel for being great coaches and having a great season.
