Boys Tennis Improves to 11-6

The Boys tennis team raised its record to 11-6 last night with a convincing win at Mt Vernon by a score of 4-1. In cold and windy weather, the netters secured all of their wins in straight sets. The JV also won by a convincing score of 12-2. Scores for the matches were: Singles 1. Mitch Amenta lost to Adam Koon 3-6, 0-6 2. Ben Jones def Manny Downs 6-2, 6-3 3. Matt Drozlek der Tate Cougill 6-1, 6-1 Doubles 1. Jack Deitz-Gavin Dietz def Bryndan Wylie-Robbie Moore 6-2, 6-2 2. Jay Hostetetler-Parker Paramoure def Matt Jones-Ma Orelup 6-1, 6-1 The Varsity travels to Peru Monday for its final match of the regular season before sectional play next Wednesday. The JV closes out its season also on Monday home against Cathedral.
