The Rocks hosted the Kokomo Wildkats last night in a non-conference match up at Shamrock Field. Kokomo scored first with a run the top of the second inning, but the Rocks answered with five runs in the bottom half and never looked back en route to a 17-1 win. Offensively, the Rocks were led with a massive night from junior Matt Drozlek who was 2 for 3 with two doubles and six RBI. Johnny Ewing, Caden Lindsey, Nick Fero and Ben Wasserstrom each collected a hit as well. On the mound, Nathan Bodenberg earned the win with 2.2 innings pitched allowing four hits and striking out seven. The Rocks will open their final HCC Series with a very talented Avon club on Wednesday at Avon. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30p.
