The Westfield Shamrocks JVW defeated Southport 11-0 on Monday evening. The Shamrocks pitched a combined 1 hit shutout. Garrett Tucker started on the mound for The Rocks. Tucker went 2 innings, allowed 0 runs on 0 hits and had 5 strikeouts. Graham McDonald, Ben Spencer, and Aiden Trevino all came in relief. They each threw 1 inning in relief. McDonald allowed 1 hit and had 2 strikeouts. Spencer allowed 0 hits and 2 strikeouts, and Trevino allowed 0 hits and 3 strikeouts. 12 out of 15 outs were strikeouts. The Shamrocks had 9 total hits. Kasen Jessup was 2 for 3 at the plate with 2 RBIs. Cam Nelson, Ryker Brenneman, Landon Campbell, Reid Dikos, Logan Robe, Aiden Trevino, and Coltyn Price each collected 1 hit for the day. Evan Govert led the team with 4 stolen bases. The Shamrocks take on Avon Wednesday and Thursday this week and end the season on Saturday playing in the Hamilton County Tournament.
