Dylan Todd collected three hits in four at bats, as Westfield defeated Franklin Community 8-3 on Wednesday. Todd doubled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning. The Shamrocks got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Hayden Rice singled, and Todd doubled, each scoring one run. The Shamrocks scored six runs on six hits in the bottom of the second inning. Ali Kainrath singled, scoring two runs, Todd singled, scoring one run, and Alyssa Ayers doubled, scoring one run. Mac Delph started in the circle for the Shamrocks. Delph gave up only 4 hits and one run over four innings, striking out five. Ali Kainrath appeared in relief for the Shamrocks. The Shamrocks piled up 12 hits in the game. Ava Weiderhaft and Lauren Arehart each collected multiple hits.
