The Shamrocks scored four runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat Mt. Vernon 7-1 on Friday. The Shamrocks were the first to get on the board in the first inning when Julia Stormer singled, scoring one run. Julia Stormer gave Westfield the lead, 3-1, in the top of the third with her very first home run! Ali Kainrath was in the circle for the Shamrocks. Kainrath gave up only one run over five innings with two strikeouts. The Shamrocks tallied 12 hits in the game. Ava Weiderhaft, Lauren Arehart, Stormer, and Mac Delph each collected two hits on the night. Arehart and Delph each stole multiple bases as well.
