The Westfield Shamrocks JVW continue their winning streak after defeating Mt. Vernon 15-5 Tuesday evening. The Shamrocks JVW scored eight runs in the first inning on their way to victory. Ryker Brenneman doubled, scoring one run, Coltyn Price singled, scoring one run, Pasha Heydarpour hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Aiden Trevino singled, scoring two runs, Graham Mcdonald hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Cam Nelson singled, scoring one run, and Evan Govert hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. The Westfield Shamrocks JVW added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when Govert singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two more runs. Four pitchers teamed up to help win the game for The Shamrocks. Logan Robe, Logan Sumpter, Coltyn Price, and Brady Bafia. Logan Robe earned the win for Westfield Shamrocks JvW. The righty surrendered 1 hit, 1 run, and 2 strikeouts. Logan Sumpter came in for relief and allowed three hits and one run over three innings, striking out three and walking none. Westfield Shamrocks JVW piled up 12 hits in the game. Trevino, Price, Govert, Mcdonald, and Brenneman each drove in two runs for Westfield Shamrocks JVW. The Shamrocks improve their record to 11-1 and play at home on Wednesday against Zionsville in their next game.
