18th Ranked Boys Varsity Cross Country Team Places 9th at the Eagle Classic

The 18th ranked boys varsity cross country team placed 9th at the Eagle Classic last Saturday. Jack Loiselle led the way for the Shamrocks, with his top 40 finish and massive new PR. Sam Hinds ran a season best time en route to being Westfield’s second finisher. Drew Lovelace ran a big PR and broke 17:00 for the first time, finishing as the Shamrocks’ third runner. William Cummings and the freshman phenom Caleb Haney rounded out the scorers for the Shamrocks. Also running great races for the varsity squad were Ike O’Neill, Owen Mohler, and Ian Porter. The JV squad also finished 3rd, led by Will Snedeker’s PR and top 10 finish. Caub Douthit ran another season best and was Westfield’s second finisher. Drew Neely (with a season best time), Owen Ferreri, and Evan Shupe rounded out the scorers for the Shamrocks. Other great races were run by Owen Dilley, Paul Williams, Dominic Newell, Jace Lee (who broke 20:00 for the first time), Jeremy Smits, Landon King, Matthew Martinez, Eli LaRosa, Peter Harrington, Ty Ellis, and Mahlon Kalaba. The Shamrocks are back in action at the Athletic Annex FlashRock Invitational on Saturday at Northview Christian Church in Carmel. The boys championship race runs at 9:30, and the JV runs at 11:30.
