Westfield built a 4-run lead in the sixth inning and then held off Cathedral's charge for a 13-12 victory on Saturday. The Shamrocks flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring six runs on six hits to take an 8-7 lead. The biggest moment in the inning was a triple by Hayden Rice that drove in three. Ali Kainrath pitched five innings in relief for the Shamrocks. Kainrath struck out five and only gave up three earned runs. The Shamrocks tallied 16 hits in the game. Dylan Todd, Lindsey Vaught, and Alyssa Ayers each collected three hits in the game. Kainrath and Julia Stormer each had multiple hits as well. The Shamrocks are back in action Monday at New Palestine.
