The Westfield Junior Varsity football team continued their strong start to the season by defeating the Noblesville Millers 24-20 to improve to 4-0 The Rocks defense battled all day and showed toughness and discipline when it mattered most. Led by defensive lineman Ben Wiggins and Linebacker Ethan Colling the Rock D was able to get the one stop it needed most in the 4th quarter. Special teams were led by the solid play of Parker Knott and Landon Porter. Landon Porter had the play of the day with a big tackle to pin the Millers deep in their own territory. The consistent play of Quinn Hampton, Jackson Gilbert, and Parker Knott continued with perfect execution on PAT/FG. The offense was led by Players of Game Noah Shull and Will Irwin. The offense was consistent and effective, scoring on all 4 of their drives. That consistent lay was led by the play of Carsen Melvin, Zach Lunsford, and Preston Pekala. The play of the game came on a Jackson Gilbert to Jacob Braun connection. The JV Rocks football team will be in action again next Saturday, September 17th at HSE.
