Alyssa Ayers collected three hits in three at bats, as Westfield defeated North Central 17-2 on Friday. The shamrocks scored nine runs in the third inning on the way to victory. Ali Kainrath stepped in the circle for the Rocks. She only allowed two runs over five innings with seven strikeouts. Westfield piled up 17 hits in the game. Delph provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Rocks with four runs batted in. Lindsey Vaught led Westfield with four hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. Kainrath and Ayers each collected multiple hits. Vaught, Kainrath, and Ayers each stole multiple bases. The team stole eight bases on the night. The team is back in action Tuesday night against Franklin Central.
