The Shamrocks competed at the HCC Indoor Invitational, one of the most prestigious indoor meets in the state of Indiana. In the individual track portion, Cade Parker made finals in the 60m dash, finishing 7th with a new PR of 7.11 - just off the school record. Ty Conner finished 9th in the 3200 with a new PR of 9:50.45. Jack Huisden finished 3rd in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.68. Huisden's time is the 28th fastest in the large school division of the state. In the field event portion, Alex Wilson earned a 5th place finish in pole vault, clearing 13'3, which is tied for 14th in the large school division of the state. Lucas Bland also scored, with a clearance of 11'9. In the relay portion, the 4x200 of Parker, Cato June, Connor Seagrave, and Deacon King finished 5th place with a season best time of 1:32.22, which is the 11th fastest time in the large school divsion. The 4x800 of Caleb Haney, Will Snedeker, Carson Ackley, and Landon Jones finished 3rd place with a new season best time of 8:10.40, which is currently the 4th fastest time in the state. Each member of the 4x8 ran a season best time, including lifetime bests from Snedeker and Ackley. The race of the night was the 4x400 of Maxim Poirier, Jones, Mikeah Webster, and Snedeker. After Poirier and Jones ran fine legs to be in contention, Webster made a huge move in the second half of the race to hand off in the lead. Snedeker followed up Webster's amazing run with a new lifetime best split (running under 51 for the first time), and the difference between first and third was less than .05 of a second. Ultimately, the Shamrocks finished second place by .04 of a second, beating third place by thousandths of a second. The Shamrocks are back in action at the Blue/White Relays on Saturday, March 16, at Anderson University.
