The freshmen football team hosted the Lawrence Central Bears Saturday morning. This week's game showcased a defensive war of attrition. The Rocks defense, led by Alex Aramobles and Ja'Deon Smith, held and explosive Bears offense in check stopping them on multiple 4th down attempts throughout the game. Early in the 2nd quarter, the Rocks offense roared to life after a 3rd and long conversion (a catch and run on a pass from Aidan Grabowski to Owen Gudeman) put the rocks into scoring position. The Rocks strong will lead them to their first win of the season by a score of 25-14. The Rocks kick off conference play next week as they play host to the Eagles from Zionsville.
