The Westfield Junior Varsity football team continued their strong start to the season by showing a great will to win and beating the LC Bears 28-20. The Rocks defense led by the leadership and big plays of Ethan Colling. Ethan’s goal line takeaway and return for a TD was a key factor in the game The consistent play of players Jackson Blevins and Keegan Krupp anchored the defense all day. Special teams were indeed special on this day. The punt block team blocked TWO punts, setting up an easy offensive score and scoring the second for their own TD. The consistent play of long snapper Quinn Hampton was critical for great punts and 100% on all PAT’s. Parker Knott and Thomas Vandergriff set up huge plays, as well! Parker had a punt to the 1 yard line and Thomas recovered a crucial turnover fro the Rocks. The offense was led by Parker Knott and the consistent play of Avery Huggins and Noah Shull. The Rocks offense sealed the deal with a crucial first down on a hard count to ice the game! The JV Rocks football team will be in action again next Saturday, September 3rd at Zionsville.
