The JV cross country team finished in 3rd place at the HCC Championships. The boys were led by Luke Stevens's 4th place finish and new season best time. Chase Niccum, Matthew Falin, Tyler O'Rourke, and Conner Phillips rounded out the scorers for the Shamrocks. This meet was a big PR meet for the overwhelming majority of the team. Great races were run by Jaeden Brown, Noah Niccum, Zaden Glass, Tristan Baxter, Luke Miller, Everitt Smith, Preston Harrell, Julian Baxter, Chris Christmas, Bennett Walther, Graham Aaron, Will Van Hook, Eli Hayes, Colin Webb, Parker Lewis, Evan Sawa, Avery Feaver, Maddux Kettlebar, Caleb Kubik, Hayden Beavers, Grant Zartman, Carter Byerly, and Asher Cook. It was a great day for racing, and the boys stepped up in a big way. Many of these competitors will only have two races left, and they started the final portion of the season on a high note. The boys are back in action on Saturday night at the Nike XC Town Twilight, run under the lights at Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, the home of the State meet.
