Last Saturday both the Shamrock Round Robin and the Noblesville JV Invitational were rained out. To get back in action, the 11th ranked Shamrocks scheduled a last minute matchup versus the 28th ranked Columbus North Bulldogs in a first ever meeting between the two schools. It was a long bus trip on a very hot evening but it was worth the travel as the Varsity secured a 4-1 victory. The win improves the Rocks' overall record to 9-4 on the season. The results are: #1S - Ajay Prasanna faced a very tough opponent and dropped a 1-6, 2-6 match #2S - Luke Stoecker won 6-3, 6-1 #3S - Elliott Orr won 6-3, 6-0 #1D - Finn Ryan & Charlie Juleen had another 3-set battle and emerged victorious 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 #2D - Cal Ryan & Matthew Legeay won a hard fought match 6-4, 6-3 JV Green also had a successful evening with a 7-1 victory. The win raises JV Green's record to 12-2 on the season. The results are: #1D - Evan McKinney & Jackson Buzan won 6-1 #2D - Ben Steel & Cade Camp won a tough match 6-4 #3D - Luke Loveys & Maxwell Montgomery won 6-3 #4D - Hunter Bruns & Landon Lehr won 6-2 #5D - Lincoln Hasler & Jackson Buzan won 6-3 #6D - Evan McKinney & Maxwell Montgomery pulled out a close playback match 6-4 #7D - Cade Camp & Luke Loveys lost a playback match 1-6 #8D - Hunter Bruns & Landon Lehr cruised in a playback match 6-0 Next up for the Varsity is the HCC Conference Tournament hosted by Brownsburg HS. The first day of matches is Thursday, September 17th starting at 4:00 pm and the tournament concludes on Saturday, September 19th with matches starting at 9:00 am. JV Green travels to Delta HS for a JV tournament on Saturday, September 19th also starting at 9:00 am.
