The Westfield JV Shamrocks improved their record to 2-0 on the season with a 24-8 victory over the Carmel Greyhounds. The Rocks started fast and continued that momentum throughout the game to secure the win. Offensively, the Rocks were led by player of the game Carson Doane from his OL position. Quarterbacks Greyson Hampton and Colton Knotts provided steady play from the backfield and both earned Mr. Consistency honors. The big play from the offense came on a long TD reception from Greyson Hampton to Aidan Hairston. The player of the game for the Rocks defense was Braylon Logan with multiple great plays throughout the morning. Mr. Consistency honors went to Connor Smith who was consistent in stopping the run from his DL spot. The big play for the day came from Henry Hahn when he forced a fumble when the Carmel offense was in the redzone. For the special teams unit, the player of the game was kicker Anderson Corya. Mr. Consistency was given to Braylon Logan. The big play came on an onside kick from Brady Heflin and recovered by Liam Schepers. The JV Shamrocks open up conference play next week when they travel to Zionsville to face the Eagles for a 10 AM kick on Saturday, September 5th.
