The JV Shamrocks started the season off with a great 21-0 win over the visiting Homestead Spartans. The Rocks showed consistent play in all 3 phases of the game to earn this season opening victory. On offense, the Shamrocks were led by running back Shon Edmond who earned player of the game honors. Shon had multiple explosive runs and kept the chains moving all game long. Consistent blocking was given to him by the O Line, led by Oliver Cook who earned Mr. Consistency honors. The play of the game came when Colton Knotts ran in a QB run with lead blocking from John Rendall and Marek Todd. On defense, Michael Sotolongo stood out as the player of the game from his spot on the DL. Jackson Coker performed consistently all game long at LB to earn Mr. Consistency honors. The play of the game on defense was a QB pressure from Sotolongo that resulted in a Graham Miller INT. For the Rocks on special teams, Greyson Hampton was given player of the game honors. Liam Schepers earned the Mr. Consistency award for his efforts on special teams. The play of the game came when Chase Neu recovered a Brady Heflin onside kick. The JV Shamrocks are now 1-0 on the year and will travel to crosstown rival Carmel for a 10 AM kick on Saturday, August 30.
