The JV boys cross country team started their season with a decisive win at the Plainfield Relays in the rare 3200 cross country race. Leading the way was the individual race winner Brecken Snyder, who took control with around 800 meters to go and never relinquished his lead from there. Jackson McDonald, the freshman phenom, finished 3rd overall after a strong start and terrific fight to stay competitive in the last quarter of the race. Luke Stevens, Chase Niccum, and Jaeden Brown rounded out the scorers for the Shamrocks. Other great efforts were put forth by Pedro Silveira, Harry Graves, Ryan Hess, Zaden Glass, Graham Gibbs, Will Van Hook, Colin Webb, and Brady Southworth. The Shamrocks are back in action at the Hamilton County Championships at White River Elementary in Noblesville on Saturday, August 29.
