The boys cross country team ran their best 1-7 average of the season by over 20 seconds at the HCC Championships on Saturday, and almost every varsity runner earned a season best or a new PR. The Shamrocks were led by Jack Loiselle, Owen Mohler, Will Snedeker, Ian Porter, and Tristan Hostetter. Snedeker, Porter, and Hostetter all broke the 17:00 barrier for the first time. Owen Ferreri ran a season best, running under 17:00 for the first time in three years, and Owen Dilley broke 17:00 for the first time in his career. The JV finished 6th overall, led by Ty Conner's third place finish and first ever sub 17:00 effort. Other scorers included Nathan McKeever, Drew Neely, JP Mikels, and Carson Ackley. The JV team had 55 competitors, and 41 of them ran either a season best or a new PR. The Shamrocks are back in action on Saturday night at the Nike Twilight meet in Terre Haute.
