Westfield Track and Field concluded the 2026 season this past weekend, competing at the IHSAA State Finals. The Rocks had many great performances on the day, resulting in three All-State medalists and many more excellent finishes. The Shamrocks were represented in 7 events with 9 total event opportunities, tied for the most in school history. Gracie Czubik got the scoring started when she placed 7th in the high jump, earning her first IHSAA All-State medal after leaping to a height of 5'5". The scoring for the Shamrocks continued when freshman Jenna Rhodes placed 8th in a super competitive 300-meter hurdles race in a time of 45.11 to earn All-State honors. Rhodes was only one of nine freshmen to place in the top 9 individually in the entire meet. The final scoring event for Westfield came from Ella Jenkins, who soared to 3rd place in the pole vault with a jump of 12'6". Westfield came away with a 24th-place finish with 12 points scored from the three scoring events. Other Westfield events represented at the State meet included the 4x800 relay of Mackenna Condon, Jenna Burns, Emma Pitney, and Jordyn Landrum, placing 11th, Katelyn Eblen placing 12th in the 300 Hurdles and her and Rhodes also competing in the 100 hurdles, the 4x400 relay team of Jenkins, Landrum, Maggie Naas, and Jenna Moulder placing 15th, and LeBraya Warren placing 21st in the 200. After the meet, Ella Jenkins was also awarded the IHSAA Mental Attitude Award, given to one senior competing at the state finals who has overcome adversity and demonstrates elite standing as a student-athlete. Ella is the first Westfield athlete to earn the award for girls' track and field. An incredibly successful season for Westfield came to a close with another fantastic day full of medal-winning events and great performances. Thank you to everyone who followed the Shamrocks in the 2026 Track and Field season. We look forward to next season as we continue to build on the program's massive success this year. Let's Go Rocks!
