On a cold and early Saturday morning, the JV Lady Rocks travelled to Guerin to take on Black and Purple. The Rocks came out victorious with a 6-4 win over a very tough team. At 1 doubles, Senior Emmerson Dierkes and Sophomore Jilly Omer fought hard but fell short to a strong team 2-8. On the 2nd doubles court, another battle commenced but Senior Reese Miller and Junior Rebecca Doye fell 2-8. The Senior duo of Caroline Hopkins and Ava Bell worked to lead the Rocks to their first JV victory of the day of 8-4 in the 3 doubles position. At 4 doubles, Junior Audrey Hanson and Freshman Brookyln Miller added another 8-4 win for the Rocks. The Freshman powerhouse team of Kate Snoply and Bryn came back after a very tough match and pulled out a tiebreaker victory 8-7 (10-8). At 6 doubles, Senior Jillian Pilcher and Junior Erin Ramsey fought hard but fell 5-8. Junior Carlie Raines and Freshman Aahana Yadav paired up again this season but had a tough fight 4-8 on the 7 doubles court. Senior Olivia Essex and Sophomore Jenna Awad played great tennis adding another win to the Rocks tally at 8-3. On the 9th doubles court, Junior Sophie Ewing and Freshman Manini added the 5th win of the day 8-1. Freshman duo of Chloe Zabinksky and Sneha Patel had a great battle and brought in the final win for the Lady Rocks at 8-5.
