Varsity: The Westfield Men's Volleyball Team lost a 5 set thriller to Cathedral last night, 23-25, 25-22, 18-25, 27-25, 12-15. Juniors Aidyan Kuzma and Xavier Lyons led the Rocks with 24 kills apiece, and setter Michael Terbish had a huge night running the offense with 53 assists! The Rocks play Noblesville on Thursday night as it is Senior Night! Come out and support your men's volleyball team! Junior Varsity: Your JV boys volleyball team toughed out a victory against a very good Cathedral squad on Tuesday night with a 2-1 win by scores of 25-22, 16-25 & 15-11. The Rocks were led on offense by Jack Feltz with 12 assists and a critical service run in the third set, where we scored on 7 of his 8 serve attempts. The defense was led by strong backcourt play out of 6 rotation OH Simon Falvey, who led the team with 13 digs and no errors to go along with his 7 kills on the attack. Cam Walsh and Spencer Divine hit for high percentages from the front line, and Mathew Mills led the Rocks in blocks and also hit .400 on the night. The JV will end their week on Thursday against Noblesville, which is also SENIOR NIGHT. Action starts at 5:30 for JV, followed by senior appreciation and the varsity match.
