The Rocks traveled to Fishers to open a Hoosier Crossroads Conference series with the Tigers. Westfield jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, taking advantage of two walks and an Aiden Grabowski single. The Rocks then extended the lead to 8-0 with six runs in the third inning before cruising to a 15-4 victory. Corey Wilhelm started for the Rocks and was magnificent again, pitching five innings while allowing just five hits, one unearned run and striking out seven to earn his third win on the young season. Garrett Tucker pitched .2 innings of relief, allowing no earned runs and striking out one. Offensively, Westfield hammered six extra-base hits. Cade Defendis, Kasen Jessup and Gavin Russ each doubled while Lincoln Hoffman had two triples and Maddox Novotney had one. The Rocks are now 7-4-1 and 4-1 in HCC play, tied for first place.
