Boys Volleyball Splits with Tigers

Varsity: The Westfield Men's Volleyball Team defeated conference foe, Fishers, on Thursday in a 5 set slugfest. The Rocks went back and forth with the Tigers for 4 straight sets, and then in the 5th set, they put it all together to dismantle their opponent 15-3. Michael Terbish led the offense once again with 46 assists on the night, with the majority of the kills coming from the three-headed monster of pin hitters, Graham France ( 13 kills), Xavier Lyon ( 16 kills), and Aidyan Kuzma ( 17 kills). Libero, Stevie Alverez led the defense with 14 digs and 36 receptions. The Rocks improve to 12-7 on the season and take on Guerin on Monday and Cathedral on Tuesday ( both at home)! Come out and support your Rocks Men's VB! Junior Varsity: Thursday night, your JV boys volleyball team took on Fishers in a conference road match and got off to a hot start, but eventually Fishers came back in the 3rd set to win the match 2-1 (25-17, 21-25 & 7-15). Your Rocks leaders on offense were Spencer Divine and Will Hecksel, who both hit above .300, with Hecksel notching a team high 8 kills to go along with his 9 digs and a service ace. Defensively, Simon Falvey protected the backcourt, matching Hecksel with 9 digs. The Rocks have a busy week at home next week with Guerin on Monday, Cathedral on Tuesday, and Noblesville on Thursday for Senior Night. Please come out and support the teams.
