JV Girls Tennis Falls to Eagles

The JV Lady Rocks had a battle against the Zionsville Eagles which unfortunately ended in the first loss of the season. Junior Carlie Raines stepped up big in playing #1 singles position for the first time but fell short 1-8. Senior Caroline Hopkins and Freshman Brooklyn Miller had a tough battle at the #1 doubles position but never gave up! 3-8 On the #2 doubles court, Senior Ava Bell and Junior Audrey Hanson tried many different tactics to defeat their opponents but were unsuccessful 3-8. Junior Erin Ramsey and Freshman Kate Snoply played together for the first time on the #3 doubles court and had a great learning experience together falling to 3-8. Senior Jillian Pilcher and Freshman Bryn Hess are a dynamic duo every time they play as a team together on the #4 doubles court, beaming in positivity on and off the court even in a difficult match up against a tough team falling to 4-8. On doubles court #5, Senior Oliva Essex and Freshman Aahana Yadav came back with an impressive win from starting the match down 0-4 and winning a final score of 8-7 (7-4). #6 doubles of Junior Jenna Awad and Freshman Varshini Mandli had a tough battle but fell 2-8. Junior Sophie Ewing and Freshman Manini Patel partnered for the first time on the #7 doubles court by putting on showcase giving the Lady Rocks their second victory of 8-1. #8 doubles were the Freshman Duo of Chloe Zabinsky and Sneha Sharma who had a tough battle by fell short 4-8. Freshman Manini Patel appeared in her first singles playback match of the season and came out victorious in a tight battle winning her second tiebreaker of the season and giving the Rocks their 3rd victory of the evening. 6-5 (7-3)
