The boys' track team went to three different showcase meets last Friday night and came away with some outstanding performances. In the Bob Potter Field Events meet at Lawrence North, Austin Scheerer led the way with an outstanding pole vault result of 13-6, tops in the meet. Also noteworthy was Jordan Gross' discus performance with a throw of 150-6. In the Bronchos Sprint Showcase, Maison McCray was particularly strong, with a 3rd-place finish of 11.03 in the 100 and a 4th-place finish in the 200. Logan Tuck also finished 3rd in the 100H, and the 4x100 relay of McCray, Ryd Wallerstedt, Cayden Gearhart, and Caleb Terril finished 5th overall. Finally, in the Flashes Distance Showcase at Franklin Central, Brandon Encinia, Brecken Snyder, and Max Lynaugh had good freshman races, all breaking 5:00 for the full mile. Other great miles were turned in by Caleb Haney, Carson Ackley, and Luke Moulder.
