The boys cross country team competed in three different races at the Eagle Classic: the freshman/sophomore race, the Elite race, and the JV race. In the freshman/sophomore race, the Shamrocks finished 5th place out of 16 teams. Caleb Haney was the first finisher, running a huge season best time and finishing 12th. Carson Ackley, Owen Dilley, and Bryce Pittman were the next finishers; all earned PRs, including the first sub 18:00 performances by Dilley and Pittman. Other PRs were run by Deagan Imel, Boston Christy, Chase Niccum (Christy and Niccum both broke 19:00 for the first time), Luke Moulder, Max Hood, and Owen Sawa. In the Elite race, the varsity boys were led by Jack Loiselle, Owen Mohler (who broke 17:00 and earned a season best), and Will Snedeker (who earned a PR and just missed breaking 17:00). Other great races were run by Owen Ferreri and Caub Douthit, both of whom earned season bests. In the JV race, Drew Neely and Noah Flynn led the boys with a big season best and a big PR, respectively. Corwyn Barrows, Noah Armitage (big season best) and Braeden Dewes (big PR) also scored for the Shamrocks. Almost every single JV runner either ran a season best or a PR, and they rose to the very high level of competition. The Shamrocks are back in action on Saturday, September 16 at the Athletic Annex FlashRock Invitational at Northview Church in Carmel.
