JV Football Defeats Millers 56-20

The Shamrocks arrived at Beaver Stadium in Noblesville and came out firing on all cylinders. Strong play from all 3 phases led the Rocks to a 56-20 defeat over the Millers. Contributions came from multiple players in multiple areas of the game. Offensively, the Rocks were led with consistent play from the offensive line which were able to establish the run game early and keep the Millers off of the quarterback. Strong performances were given all morning from both Carsen Melvin and Caleb Darts. The big play happened right before half when Preston Pekala took a Melvin pass to the end zone. Defensively, the Rocks were able to provide steady play all morning with steady tackling and playmaking. Consistent play was given form the defensive line against a run heavy offense and Ryder Birk was able to be a playmaker in the back end. Owen Swinford had the play of the game, chasing down a Miller ball carrier and forcing a fumble right before the end zone. On Special Teams, the Rocks were led with great play from Keegan Krupp. Landon Porter and Isaac Weingart both provided steady play for the unit all morning. The big play came on a kickoff return for a touchdown by Ryder Birk. The Rocks improve to 3-1 and 2-0 in the conference on the year. They will return to action next Saturday, September 16 at 10 am at Riverview Health Stadium.
