Westfield continued the season on Tuesday, competing in a dual meet with Hamilton Southeastern. The Rocks were defeated by the Royals with a final score of 75-52. In defeat, the Shamrocks still had some great performances and several event winners. Westfield had four event winners on the evening, starting with Mackenna Condon winning the 1600 in a new PR time of 5:12. The next Rocks winner was also in a distance event as Maggie Naas won the 800 in a time of 2:25. The remaining two event winners were from field events. Gracie Czubik won the high jump at 5'2", and Ella Jenkins won the pole vault at 12'6". The Shamrocks had many other point scorers on the evening including, Jenna Rhodes and Katelyn Eblen in the 100 hurdles, Izzy Brady in the 100, Emma Pitney and Jenna Burns in the 1600, Avery Taylor in the 400, Addy Busch and Addy Friermood in the 300 hurdles, Hayley Pitney in the 800, Jenkins and Czubik in the 200, Jolie Miller and Eblen in the high jump, Sophie Croft and Lia Ricke in the long jump, and Zoe Burgei in the shot put. Westfield will have a two-week break from competition as we head into spring break and will next compete at Zionsville on April 15th. Let's Go Rocks!
