The boys track team continued qualifying for the HSR Indoor State Championships Tuesday night at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and had an outstanding night. Two new indoor records were set by the Rocks. Maison McCray ran the fastest 60 in school history with a blazing 6.96 to move into contention for the state finals. He also led off the 4x200, which also broke a school record. Running with Cayden Gearhart, Logan Tuck, and Ryd Wallerstedt, the relay moved from 11th to the 5th spot in Indiana. The other hot event for the Shamrocks last night was the pole vault, with both Austin Scheerer and Brady Lemieux vaulting to personal bests. Austin PRed by a foot, while Brady vaulted 13'6", which currently has him in position to vault at the state meet. Other outstanding performances included Owen Dilley, Graham Hoffman, Dexter Hoffman, Chase Niccum, and Max Lynaugh, all of whom ran well in the 3200. The Rocks are back at the Fairgrounds this Thursday for their last qualifying meet, and next Thursday at Brownsburg in the first outdoor meet of the year.
