Westfield track and field continued the indoor season, competing at Indiana Wesleyan for the final of 3 HSR qualifiers taking place at IWU. The Shamrocks once again had many stellar performances on the day! The meet got off to a great start when freshman Sofia Grisel raced to a 17-second PR of 12:18 in the 3200 to place 8th in a really strong field. Continuing on the track, Addy Friermood PR'd in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.84 to place 16th, and Phoebe Smith raced her way to a PR in the 60-meter dash in a time of 8.53. The Westfield relays had a good showing as the DMR team of Carly Davis, Charlotte Isaacs, Lyla Osborn and Sam Plummer placed 5th in 14:01.36. The 4x400 relay placed 7th, the 4x800 relay placed 10th and the 4x200 relay placed 14th. In the field events, the highlight of the day was Jolie Miller placing 2nd, matching her season best of 5'1" for the runner-up finish. Zoe Burgei also placed 14th with another 30+ foot toss in the shot put at 30'10". Westfield will continue the indoor season with meets at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Tuesday and Thursday at the Fall Creek Pavilion for some more HSR qualifying. Let's Go Rocks!
