What a GREAT weekend for the ROCKS men’s swim and dive team. Westfield advanced eleven swims to the state championship from Sectionals. Nine of those swims advanced to finals. The ROCKS finished tenth in a closely contested meet from seventh through tenth. The Men’s team finished the season with five new school records and the team’s top finish in several years. Highlights include: 200 Medley Relay: 16th Alden Thomas, Griffin Barent-Froman, Garreth Thomas & Esteban Roussel (school record set at Sectionals 1:35.09) 400 Free Relay: 10th Zach Welch, Garreth Thomas, Landon Wendel & Alden Thomas Zach Welch: 7th 200 Free , 4th 500 Free (school record 4:30.49) Landon Wendel: 15th 200 Free, 13th 500 Free Garreth Thomas: 9th 200 IM (school record 1:51.18), 10th 100 fly (school record 50.18) Griffin Barents-Froman: 13th 100 Breast (school record 56.83 at sectionals)
