The Freshman Rocks got back on track Wednesday night with a home win against Franklin Central. A three-pointer by Dante Jones, the very first possession of the game, gave an inclination that the offense may be in line for a hot start. This was not the case, however, as the score was 8-8 until a buzzer-beater three by Gavin Banas had the Rocks in at the half up 11-8. Kaleb Cole set the tone with his defense in the third quarter by drawing a charge and swiping two steals. Big Dawgs Gotta Eat! The big fellas got activated in the second half, as well as Aiden Hairston crashed the offensive boards and had a few buckets, Greyson Hampton had two buckets and a nice and-one, and Adrean Scott had six points, including a buzzer beater to end the third quarter. JC Hart went 2 for 2 at the free-throw line to shut the door on the Flashes. The highlight of the fifth quarter was Assistant Coach Max Carden and Assistant Coach Amir Djor drawing up a Sam Leach assist to JC Hart for a three-pointer. The Freshman Rocks finish off their 5 games in 7 days run tomorrow night at HSE. It's a great day to be a Shamrock!
