Freshman Rocks Pick-Up Road Win Over Marauders
By Tyler Nicole | Dec 16, 2025 8:36 AM
The Freshman Rocks started the week on a great foot, Monday night with a road win at Mt. Vernon, 43-31. Tied at halftime, the Rocks brought a new energy to the second half and really exerted themselves on the defensive end to hold the Marauders to 11 second-half points. The scoring was pretty balanced once again, but led by Braelyn Rush with 9, Gavin Banas with 8, Dante Jones with 6, and Isaac Jones with 6. The Marauders had a kid score 14 points in the first half, but Kaleb Cole stepped up and held him to just 3 in the second. When the boys were asked about highlights post-game, they said the following: Isaac Jones' first two buckets of the game, Kaleb Cole's bounce-back game, Non-Chalant-te Jones with a nice o-board put back, Hudson Wade with a tough floater in the lane, Sam Leach sitting down on defense, Lincoln Whitaker's assist to Braelyn Rush, and Gavin Banas, Amir Djor, and Adrean Scott all with tough and-1's. The Rocks have their second game of a back-to-back Tuesday night at Lafayette Harrison. It's a great day to be a Shamrock!
