The Freshman Rocks kicked off their season Monday night on the road at Guerin Catholic. The Rocks were able to overcome a slow start to be up 17-13 at halftime. Adrean Scott led the scoring in the first half with 7 points. The third quarter was arguably the Rocks' best quarter as they rattled off 12 points to head into the 4th quarter up 29-20. However, Guerin Catholic came out on fire with a huge 8-0 run to cut the lead to 29-28 before Lincoln Whitaker hit the dagger 3 to stop the Golden Eagle run and eventually propel the Rocks to a 32-28 victory. Other bright spots were Adrean Scott with 9 rebounds, Gavin Banas with 4 rebounds and 2 assists, including two huge offensive boards that led to buckets, and Owen Fletcher and Greyson Hampton teaming up for 8 offensive rebounds between the two of them. The Freshman Rocks are back in action Monday as they have their home opener against Noblesville. See you there! It's a great day to be a Shamrock!
