The boys track competed in an unscored meet at Riverview Health Stadium Saturday. This is a meet with great competition with no relays, so athletes who did not compete in the elite invitationals Friday have a chance to get an outstanding performance automatically timed.
The Shamrocks had some outstanding performances, including Mario Chalmers in the 100, Robby Bogdajewicz, Corey Phillips, Evan Rink, and Kyler Koning in the 1600, Cole Micho with a big PR in the 800, Will Clifford, and Jonathon Gaynor in the 800, Christiaan Huidsden in the 200, and Samuel Novak and Logan Gilbert in the 3200.
Field events were led by an outstanding performance in the discus with a huge PR by Jacob Netral, a good day by Lester Gonzalez in the pole vault, and an outstanding day by Matthew Rops with a season best high jump performance.
The boys are back in action Monday at Riverview Health Stadium against Carmel.
