Both pitching staffs had their hands full on Monday in a high-scoring affair where Carmel JV bested Westfield Shamrocks JV, 9-6.

The Shamrocks took an early lead in the second inning when #22 induced Lilly Tucker to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Westfield put up three runs in the second inning. The Shamrocks put the pressure on, lead by a fielder’s choice by Tucker and a double by Piper Oberbroeckling.

Kenzie Hiatt was on the rubber for Westfield. The southpaw went five innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out six. Haley Fekete threw two innings out of the bullpen.

Sydney Flora, Jenna Kingma, Allie Dolenc, Jordan Clark, Addison Greenwalt, and Oberbroeckling all had one hit to lead Westfield Shamrocks JV.

Carmel JV scattered eight hits in the game. #14 and #13 all managed multiple hits for Carmel JV.
