Last night, your Rocks traveled to Fishers to face the Tigers, earning a 45-6 victory. The win clinches at least a share of the HCC Conference for the Shamrocks as they are 6-0 in conference play (7-1 overall).

Fishers came out swinging with a touchdown on their opening drive, but the Rocks responded with a methodical drive capped by a Maximus Webster run (Sullivan PAT).The Rock D then stiffened, and it was all Shamrocks from there. Webster found Carson Voorhis on the next drive for a long pass and then punched it in from the 13 (Sullivan PAT). It was 14-6 at the end of the first.

Magwire Graybill started off the second period with a big special teams play, blocking a punt and returning it to the 3 yard line. Micah Hauser then punched it in for the score (Sullivan PAT). The Shamrocks then put together another methodical drive that was capped this time by a Hauser run (Sullivan PAT). The Rock D continued to stymie the Tigers with Seth Poriah coming up with a big sack on the next drive. Hauser broke up the fourth down pass attempt, and the Rocks forced a turnover-on-downs. The Shamrock offense then came out and executed their two-minute offense to perfection with Webster finding Mason Piening in the corner of the end-zone for another score before the half (Sullivan PAT). The Rocks went in with a 35-6 lead at the break.

Westfield received the ball to start the second half, and promptly picked apart the Tiger defense with a plethora of passes before Webster powered it in from the 7 yard line (Sullivan PAT). With the Rocks up 42-6, the rule transitioned to a running clock because of the deficit. The game seemed to fly on from there, with both teams trading a couple of punts. Frankie Ispen put a field goal through the uprights in the fourth for the Rocks, which led to the 45-6 Rocks final score.

Special shout out to our scouts of the week: Christian Gibbons, Samuel Toney, Sean Tallman, and Jack Woodard. They really showed resolve during practice, helping to prepare the team for Friday’s contest.

The Rocks will look to wrap up their regular season on a winning note when they host the Franklin Central Flashes next Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7PM.
