The boys track team finished 5th at the Hamilton County meet Friday. The Shamrocks were led again by Peyton Haack who pred and won the pole vault, and finished 2nd in the 110 hurdles. Nick Leahy also scored big, finishing 2nd in the 800, and Calvin Grenda had a big race in the 300 hurdles, finishing 3rd. Joining them in the scoring were Colin Caldwell (3rd), and Andrew Pazdernik (5th) who both threw personal bests in the shot put. Good races were put in by the 4×800 relay of Max Gutwein, David Mannella, Noah Douthit, and Jacob Beene (5th) and the 4×400 of Nick Leahy, Grenda, Mahamet Djour, and Gutwein (5th). Other scorers included Alex Kukura in the 100, Kukura and Owen McGraw in the 200, Mannella and Djour in the 400, Samuel Novak in the 3200, and Cooper Boehm in the 300 hurdles.

The boys are back in action next Thursday at the HCC Championships at Fishers HS.
