The Boys Varsity soccer team earned a nice win against a good Pendleton Heights team despite having a difficult time getting their footing early in the match. In the first half, after going down a goal, Senior Nathan Hewitt got on the end of a corner kick from Junior Jordan Donsky to level the game at 1-1. In the second half a strong showing from the central midfield led by Senior Captains Miguel Ayala and Max Von Arx helped establish the team as the better side to get the win. The team was able to get the win behind two goals from David Green, first on a free kick from just outside the box and second only moments later after Junior Colin Maris drove a ball up the field and Green was able to beat his defender and the goalie to it and head it into the back of the net for the game winner. The team is back on the road in conference play at Brownsburg on Tuesday night.
