On a day that saw 40 of 50 runners run a personal best, the Westfield Boys Cross Country team finished a strong 4th at the HCC Championships. Led By Noah Douthit and a resurgent Samuel Novak, the boys also featured Kai Connor running the 2nd fastest freshman time in the state this year. Joining them in scoring were Mahamat Djour and Max Gutwein. Also running well were Joe Barnett and another freshman sensation, Max Woehler as well as Jacob Beene, and Josh Springborn.
The JV were led to a 3rd place finish behind the frontrunning of Kyler Koning and Duncan McGraw. Huge races were also turned in by Evan Rink, Josh Barnett, Zion Garron Ciberay, Alex Matthews, Michael Simpson, Ryan Schemel, Birch Floyd, David Cox, Joe Harris, Jon Polheber, Colin Horner, Logan GIlbert, Greg Gerardot, Alex Arnold, and Will Clifford.
The boys are back in action Tuesday with an abbreviated lineup competing at Ben Davis HS.
