On Thursday, March 28, the Rocks traveled to Franklin Central to close out the two game HCC series with the Flashes. Westfield jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead but the Flashes answered back with two runs. The Rocks extended the lead to 9 to 3 but Franklin Central answered back with 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th before Josh Stegner pitched the Rocks out of a jam. Westfield made sure the Flashes comeback was stopped with two runs in the top of the 7th inning. Payton Tamm earned the win on the mound with five innings of work, allowing no earned runs and scattering three hits while striking out two. Josh Stegner pitched 1.2 innings of relief allowing no runs and striking out one. Offensively, the Rocks were led by Zach Collins 3 for 5 night. He had a double and 3 RBI as well. Tyler Smitherman was 2 for 5 with an RBI and Eli Patchett was 2 for 4 with an RBI.
